HELP & ANSWERS
Good questions. Clear answers.
A few things to know before you find your starting point.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
A little more clarity.
How can I find my face shape?
Choose a clear, front-facing photo, or compare the width of your forehead, cheekbones and jaw with the length of your face using our manual guide. A shape is a starting point, not a fixed identity.
Does my photo leave my device?
No. Photo decoding and face measurements happen in your browser. The model downloads to your device, but your photo is not sent to a server.
Is this free to use?
Yes. There is no account, subscription or payment required to explore the tool and guides.
What makes a good photo?
Use even lighting, look straight ahead and keep your face clearly visible. Avoid strong filters, a tilted head or hair covering the sides of your face.
Can I be between two face shapes?
Yes. Many faces share features of more than one shape. Try suggestions from both guides instead of trying to fit a single category.
How accurate is a photo measurement?
Perspective, lens distance, expression and hair can affect a measurement. Our classification is still being validated, so the current preview shows measurements and clearly marked example results rather than claiming an accuracy score.
Can I work it out without uploading a photo?
Yes. Stand in front of a mirror, keep your head level and compare your overall length, cheekbone width, forehead and jaw. The manual guide below the detector explains what to look for.
Which photo formats can I use?
JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 10 MiB and 24 megapixels are supported. Convert HEIC or other formats on your device first.
Why was no face found?
Try a sharper, closer photo with one face visible. We cannot always tell whether lighting, angle or an obstruction caused a failed detection.
Does face shape determine my best haircut?
No. Hair texture, density, personal taste and styling time matter too. Use these suggestions as a conversation starter with your stylist.
What about glasses?
Face shape can suggest a direction, but bridge fit, temple length, lens needs and comfort should guide your final choice.
Can I use the tool offline?
After the page, model and required resources have loaded in the current session, measurements can run offline. Opening the site again while offline is not supported.
Are my results saved?
No. Results are kept in the current page memory only. Refreshing clears them, and choosing another photo clears the previous result.
Can I put this tool on my website?
The Embed page provides an iframe example. The current local preview is not a public production service yet.
